Hi, I’m Anika Gupta, M. Sc. (Psychology), a Registered Clinical Counsellor, dedicated to creating a supportive, compassionate, and collaborative space for healing, recovery, and growth. I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, and life transitions—and I have specialized experience in concussion counselling and post-concussion emotional support.
My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, drawing on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-based practices. I tailor my work to each client’s needs and pace, especially when supporting individuals recovering from concussions or brain injuries. I am certified in the Medical Professional Concussion Awareness Training Tool through UBC, equipping me to help clients manage the emotional and psychological impacts of concussion, including mood changes, fatigue, anxiety, and identity disruption.
In addition to being registered with the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP), I have completed specialized training in:
- Trauma-Informed Practice Training – Level 1 & 2
- Certificate in Grief and Loss – Level 1
- SafeTALK – Suicide Alertness and Recognition Training
- Managing Hostile Interactions and Physical Safety Training
I am committed to providing culturally sensitive care and can offer counselling in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. As part of this clinic, I look forward to walking alongside you on your healing journey—whether you’re seeking support for recovery, navigating emotional challenges, or working toward meaningful change.
Outside work, I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, cooking, travelling, and cheering on cricket matches.
